Video interviews were made at Art Space One in March 2017.


The core of this project is to tap into people’s dreams about their future and the future of the society are living in. Participating people where encouraged to try to explain any vision or dream, with no regards to its realisation potential. The presented material consist of documentary material and demographical statistical facts about the neighbourhood. This constellation of different types of information and knowledge is intended to show the complexity in trying to describe a society as well as one’s ideas or dreams there of. In March 2017 thirty people from the neighbourhood surrounding the Shinheung Market in Haebangchon (HBC), Seoul, where invited to tell their dreams in front of a video camera. The result was displayed as 1-channel video installations in shops and shop windows in the HBC neighbourhood. The project also produced a website with project information, venue addresses and interactive maps.

Video Stills
Video clips with people from Haebangchon were displayed on monitors in the neighbourhood surrounding the Shinheung Market. These videos where altered with statistical information about Haebangchon, collected from the governmental institute Statistics Korea.

Website
The project produced a web-site, with project information, venue addresses and maps. Using it on a smartphone spectators could find the different venues and navigate with interactive maps. The web site contain information about the project as well as a presentation of participating people and shops. During the duration of the project the web site had a the domain name www.futurescanner.net for easy access.
